Quality of Education in Village Schools :

Gram Dhan believes that quality education is the key to economic and social development of any village.

The infrastructure and teaching standard in the village schools in India is extremely poor. The basic requirements like proper school building with toilet facilities, adequate teaching aids, proper seating arrangement in the class rooms, standard of teaching methods especially now since English language has been introduced in vernacular medium schools right from standard I, library & science laboratory facilities are hardly available.

The biggest contributor to any child’s development constitute co-curricular and sports activities but there are no such facilities available to children in village schools. As a result the drop out percentage in the primary schools in the villages is very high.
Gram Dhan is providing support to a few schools in the villages to bring a wholesome improvement in the primary education environment.
Gram Dhan works with school children as well as with the schoolteachers by organising workshops, lecture demonstrations on teaching methods in various subjects.
Gram Dhan has taken up three schools in Mulshi Taluka for infrastructure development, which includes:

1 Work tables for students.
2 Teaching aids (audio & visual).
3 Setting up of scientific equipment lab.
4 A library.
5 Art & craft material like embroidery rings & threads, paints & brushes good guide books which is all, expensive and out of reach of the village children.
6 Sanitation facilities.
7 First aid box.
8 Sports equipment.
9 Computers.

All this is not possible without your active support.
Sponsorship is invited for achieving the above mentioned infrastructure inputs to improve the quality of education in the village schools.
