Gram Dhan India
Foundation, feels that for achieving sustainable village development
most important task is to first develop the basic educational structure
in the villages of India. Today’s children are going to be the backbone
of tomorrow’s village fabric and if developed properly would strengthen
the country tremendously since our 75% population lives in the villages.
Let us make our population our strength by doing ground level human
resource development in the vast sea of unutilised man- power in our
villages.
The educational infrastructure in our villages is in a very poor state.
We are not able to provide the subscribed and required basic educational
facilities in the village schools. Reasons could be many but the
solutions are important.
Gram Dhan is working as a facilitator
between the rural school children and the school administration. We feel
that the urban population and business houses can definitely make a
difference in improving the quality of education in villages by
extending a helping hand to further our mission.
In today’s fast changing world, the use of computer has become a
necessity rather than a luxury and villages cannot afford to be ignorant
of this computer environment. Today the definition of literacy is having
the basic knowledge of computers and there fore computers are required
in all the schools in the villages. But alas! Our study shows that in
spite of curriculum requirements there is hardly any schools in even
near by villages where even a basic computer is available for the school
children to see, leave alone use it.
We appeal to you to facilitate computer
learning in the village schools by:
1 Donating your old and unutilised computers (286,386 Etc.)
2 Donate books, teaching aids, science equipment for teaching etc.
3 You can also provide cash for buying the above necessities.
We hope to receive your help in furthering
our mission of building our majority population to be productive and
enter the new millenium as a strong and prosperous humanity in the
world. |
